My wife decided on new granite and cook top, and displaced an older Thermador top. Very nice, easy to clean design. Very attractive when installed. The online (Smarthings) feature doesn't do much but indicate off and on. So I am not sure if this feature is needed. Unless of course, you check if you left to burner on for some reason. Price similar to other top of the line cook tops.. Overall, my wife is happy, so I am happy.

We bought this to replace a Jenn Air glass gas cooktop that was about 12 yrs old and wasn't working and glass had cracked. We wanted to have something that fit without modifying our quartz counter top and the cabinetry and looked at multiple other brands. This was the only one that fit and had improved features. Love the central burner with 2 separate and controllable flames. The lighted dials are a nice feature. The grills are well made and allow easy sliding of cookware from one burner to another as they are continuous. Some reviews complain that the stainless scratches easily. We found if you immediately wipe up spills with a soft wet cloth and then polish the stainless with Wieman's stainless steel cleaner the surface looks brand new and doesn't scratch. The overall look is very professional looking. We are very happy with everything about it. Installation took 30 minutes. A piece of cake. Have no use for bluetooth connection and see very little benefit from it.

One of the burners doesn't work. It blew out within a few months of owning it. The top panel where the knobs are is not metal. It stained immediately with a stainless steel cleanier and it it ruined now. I do Not recommend this range.

having received no return call from samsung they are not customer focused.
installation was simple. the black gasket should be affixed to the under-rim of the cooktop not the counter as diagram indicates. burners (ng) were properly adjusted from the factory. an indicator showing a 'hot burner' does not appear to be present as sales spec
from counter top to top of grates is 2 inches! the average rating is because like all other stoves & cook tops with heavy iron grates the flame must heat not only the pot / pan, but also the heavy iron. this requirement increases cooking time compared to older designs that have smaller, lighter round fixtures upon which pot / pan rests closer to the flame.

I had my new Samsung built in Gas cooktop for 3 weeks now and it has been wonderful cooking meals for my family. I upgraded from a 19 year old cooktop that was still working but was not easy on the eyes. The Samsung fits right in to a modern kitchen. Its very sleek and the blue light under the knobs are beautiful to look at. The burners are easy to control and I like having a big burner in the middle which makes it convenient for bigger pots. The griddle is a plus! My kids love cooking pancakes on it. This cooktop came with wifi which enables me to see if all the burners are turned off by logging in via Smart things App. It seems simple but a great safety feature specially when you have kids or older parents living with you. Overall I am extremely happy with my Samsung Gas Cooktop.

This rad cooktop is awesome! It has 5 burners and a griddle. It's so nice and big, it almost looks like a bbq grill. I made pancakes on the griddle and love how they came out! Oh let me tell you about those blue lighted knobs on it, beautiful, and it matches with my double oven. It also has a WiFi module that connects to the smart things app and lets you control and monitor your cooktop. I can't wait to cook more meals for my family. I definitely recommend this awesome cooktop!

This cooktop has been wonderful. The black stainless steel is gorgeous, and looks much better than the white cooktop it replaced. The cast iron grates are nice and heavy, and don't move around when moving a pot or pan. The griddle is also really nice to have, and is great for pancakes or French toast. The light up knobs are also a nice touch, and makes it easy to tell if a burner was left on unintentionally. Some 5 burner cooktops place the center burner at the very back of the cooktop, where Samsung has placed it directly in the center of the cooktop, which makes it so much easier to access. The center burner is also a dual burner, and is high BTU, so it's great for stockpots and quickly boiling water and such.
The only cons I can think of are related to the Smartthings integration. The LED light on the side is bright and distracting at times. There's no option to dim or disable the light without turning off Smartthings integration. Likewise, being a gas stove with physical valves, and such, the smart functionality is limited to being able to tell if the burners are on, or off. That's it. It's kind of a wasted add-on at that point. However, all the pros far outweigh the cons, and this is a great cooktop with tons of good features.

My first impression of the cook top was that this thing was an industrial upgrade from our previous cook top. We had builder grade stainless steel appliances installed when we built our house. The previous cook top was nice enough but compared to the Samsung seemed like a flimsy baking pan. First, the grates are massive and attractively designed. They are less likely to slide around given their mass and seem to be better at staying in place with the small impressions where the rubberized feet are firmly seated. Which is great, because I always cried a little tear inside whenever I accidentally scratched the stainless steel on my old burner.
The linear alignment of the beefy control knobs combined with the staggered layout of the center burner make for a much better use of space than a central cluster of knobs. Kudos to Samsung for understanding how people use pots and pans on a cook top.
And speaking of the center burner, it is dual stage (inner and outer ring of flames) with 19,000 BTU and I'm blown away with the power this thing puts out. We do a lot of cooking on a wok which gobbles up heat. The center burner is so much better than the under powered main burner we used previously. When you turn the heat way down on this burner it isolates the flame to the small inner ring but cranking it above 50% gives you the double ring of power. This also works great to get water up to a boil in a hurry.
This model comes with an aluminum griddle that rests on top of the two leftmost burners. Both burners are rated the same to allow for even heat distribution across the surface. There is also an optional wok rack you can buy that rests nicely on top of the center grate. We have a flat bottom wok so it isn't necessary for us, but we could purchase this optional rack to work with a more traditional wok design if we wanted to.
The cherry on the top of this beast is the ability to integrate with your Smartthings app. You can monitor whether any of the burners are on with a simple graphic. This may not be much, but it could be especially useful on days when the little ones are having a breakdown and you need to drag them with you to the store.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this robust cook top. It looks impressive in our large kitchen and functionally it is a major step up from our old unit. If you are looking for a new burner this would be an excellent option to consider.

This stove is high tech and you can tell just by looking at it! My favorite part is the blue LEDs that tell you if the burners are on or off. The high heat setting is a "true" high setting, and the best part is the griddle, perfect for quesadillas or heating up tortillas! The smart home features really just tell you which burner is on, but it can connect to a fan that can turn on automatically. I wish we had that to really try it out and see if it's worth it! The burner racks seem well made and overall, I think this stovetop will last a VERY long time.

This gorgeous cooktop has changed my life. Not only is the cooktop beautiful and alluring, but it's extremely efficient and powerful. I love the middle spot which allows one to cook with a large pot and high power. This cooktop replaced a 6 year old Kitchen Aid cooktop (see attached picture), which I had previously thought was high quality. Well, I guess I was basing that opinion more on the brand than the actual cooktop! The Samsung is far superior. Comparing similar sized burners, the Samsung is more powerful, which means I don't have to turn up the setting to the point of the flames coming up the sides of the sauce pan to get it to boil (My kids eat a lot of pasta!)
The grids are very sturdy,and really make the cooktop look a lot more expensive that it really is. The blue indicators on each control make it very easy to determine when a burner is on (important safety feature). This is something my old Kitchen Aid did not have, and there were a few occasions where a burner was turned down low and not noticed for many hours! Thankfully, no accidents though!
I haven't had a need to use the griddle yet. This is something I didn't have with the Kitchen Aid, so I will have to find something suitable to cook on it and give it a go.
I was curious to find out what smart features a gas cooktop could have, so I connected it to my Smart Things app. All I can do is view the status of the burners (on or off). This was to be expected, I guess, as there isn't really much else it could do! It would be nice if I could include the status in an automation though. Maybe something like: If the cooktop is on when the night time mode is activated, send a notification to alert the status.
