this product lasted only 4 years then began to trip the circuit breaker after running for 10 sec. also had a slight smell. i am very disappointed with samsung. on the same day, i bought a samsung refrigerator and both have had issues.
seems they should be problem-free for longer than this.

i am very disappointed with my purchase of samsung powergrill. expensive and faulty manufacturing. turns on randomly which is a fire hazard. also the vent option turns on high randomly and wakes me up in the night. i have always purchased samsung products but i am reconsidering my options for the future.

same problems as everyone else. bought this 03-2016, as of 10-19 the :07 comes on automatically, beeps 24 hours a day, fan has now started turning on by itself. do not buy!!

baked potato option throwing an error code, then random beep and the number 7 would appear, the screen would read 77:77 and turn on and run, the vent will go on, and not go off.

after the 1 year warranty expired microwave started inputting 7's into the timer on its own. the fan will turn on by itself, and now it has started making unusually buzzing noises while cooking.

We bought all new Samsung Products when we remodeled our kitchen. Shortly after we bought this Microwave we started having the same issues as others have. Started with 7 being a pressed then Fan randomly turning on and not wanting to turn off, to after 77:77 it would turn on and start cooking by itself. Service call was placed and entire door was replaced and couple months passed and it started again. It would stop if we used the Eco Mode. Until about 6 months after the repair we were woken up at 0445hrs to the sound of the Fan being on and the Microwave cooking cookies that were left in the there, and the Smoke detectors activating. It turned it self on from the Eco mode and cooked the cooked cookies to a charcoal state. Filled the house up with smoke, we had to paint everything to get rid of the smoke smell.

it beeps throughout the day with a "7", then it will say "press ok or start". the vent will not pull the air up, even on the high setting. the buttons a difficult to push. i would write more, but....

I don't usually do reviews as at the onset products always seem to be the best , but when you start having issues that is the real test. Samsung just doesn't make good appliances, my unit is 2 yrs old and makes weird noises sometimes and engages to a 7 second timer randomly which makes the unit beep to get attention to clear it. I only got because it matched the range which I am not questioning if I made the right decision there too.

Always happy with my phones decided to try the appliances and all of them have one or two replacement part. The door of the microwave was replaced due to some faulty digital display.

I bought this November of 2016. Within 6 months we started getting error messages (don't recall which ones in hindsight). Samsung called a tech out to fix it and was told that we'll sometimes need to unplug the microwave so that it could re-set itself. Really? I have to climb on top of my countertop to where the plug-in is to unplug and re-set? After warranty expired (12 months), the error messages started to appear with greater frequency. Samsung would not support, despite previous issue noted above. Very unhappy with this product, and absolutely would not recommend it.

As many have mentioned, this automatically presses the number "7" due to a bad circuit board function. Stay away. Warranty is only a year, extended warranty is too expensive.

We bought the microwave to replace an older one that still worked but wanted the stainless steel. Soon after the warranty expired the microwave would at random times self select 7 seconds and then scroll "press start or ok". It continues to do this a year after it started. I hate this microwave for this very reason. In fact as I type this it just select 7 seconds.

I bought one of these 18 months ago and within the first few months the small plastic piece that is supposed to turn the carousel slipped down into the body or the unit. I called for warranty repair and they sent someone out and fixed it. Within a year of that the spindle broke again. It's a design flaw and they didn't respond to my call to do something. I've been reading the other reviews and the control board sounds like it's bad too.

The touch panel started beeping within months of buying it and the screen shows a 7. Was extremely difficult to get a repair man to come as there is only one "authorized" repair company in the area. Finally had the repair completed and the problem came back.

We purchased this mainly to compliment our Chef Collection range. It looks great. However, very soon (<2 months) after installation we noticed that the touch screen controls would not respond consistently. Now, it is voodoo to get anything other than the +30 sec button and cancel to operate. I'm not sure I want to spend the money on a repair person as I live in the middle of nowhere but I also don't want to buy another microwave and have it not match our kitchen suite. I have read that Samsung doesn't think that this touch screen operation is a big deal and will not deal with customer complaints regarding this issue. So all-in-all, disappointed with Samsung. Stick to electronics, Samsung...except for electronic components of appliances. The irony isn't lost on me...

As several owners have mentioned on this site, and many more on Lowes and Home Depot's websites, this microwave has a major issue with the keypad and display. At first I thought we were doing something wrong, but we weren't. This microwave is just junk. Ours like to remind us on a regular basis to continue a heating cycle, when we haven't touched it. Ours prefers 7 and 9 second cycles. It also randomly turns the exhaust fan on when no one is near it. The keys on the keypad are EXTREMELY difficult to push, which I would bet has some connection to the spontaneous reminders. I can't prove this though, because Samsung refuses to acknowledge that there is a documented failure with this model. Because my unit was 12 DAYS out of warranty, they won't touch it. So thanks Samsung. I'll chalk this issue and the washing machine recall from 2016 as the reason I won't consider Samsung products again. GET YOUR QUALITY BACK TO THE WAY IT USED TO BE!!!!

If you buy this just for the microwave you will be ok, but overpaying for a microwave. If you need it for the fan and ventilating for cooking don't buy it. I was sold on the strength of the vent, but it barely pulls in air and constantly have a house kitchen with a smiley haze.

Purchased this microwave July 2016 and had on going issues with display problems as if you started to enter a time but stopped. Also the exhaust fan turns on by itself on high speed during all hours including the last time at 4:28 am waking up the whole house. (See similar complaints in reviews)
Numerous calls to Samsung resulted in the same frustrating situation, you receive a repair ticket number then a call a few days later that it was cancelled. Samsung said it doesn't have any repair company in S.W. Florida that can repair this defective microwave and they will not replace it with a new one but only refund my money minus the cost of my extended warranty thru hhgregg and the discounted price of buying five appliances at once!
I purchases five Samsung Appliances at one time and had problems with each one.
How does a company sell a product that they can't repair ?
I'm stuck with a Dryer that doesn't dry cloths on automatic settings, a recalled washer and a microwave that does what it wants.
I WILL NEVER EVER PURCHASE A SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN!!!

Those 'doggy bag' leftovers --- sure they got warmed up, but were always limp and soggy. This microwave has a grill that actually crisps up those leftovers, as well as grill certain things like a broiler! It's roomy, but if your dish overextends - just turn off the turntable. Lots of options, such as defrost, add 30 sec., power grill, etc., make this unit easy to use while accomplishing many different cooking tasks. I am very excited about this new generation kitchen helper!

The upper cabinet template is not accurate. The holes for upper bolts are 3/4" to 1" off. The power supply cord hole is on the wrong side. The instructions for converting the blower motor vent to the front very confusing and required moving wires to install. The microwave is good. However, the popcorn setting burns the popcorn. The Control panel is not user friendly. No user manual provider. I had to go online and download and print the 40 page document. To figure out how to do do different things it requires using the option button and then looking up what number is required. The kitchen timer only beeps 3 quick notes then goes off and the timer goes back to the normal clock time. If you are not near it to hear the quick beeps then you will not know the timer is done. Installation of the charcoal filter not clear from the manual. Also, in order to replace the filter, which is required every 6 months, the front grill must be removed! Grill cooking is no faster that grilling with an oven.

Bought this to go with the Flex Duo range and absolutely love it. Very easy to install. It is hard to list all the wonderful features, but the one we love best is the plain old heating function of it. It is amazing how evenly the microwave cooks everything! The Power Grill is also a wonderful function as it acts like a broiler. I know it seems like the oven can do that, but the ease of using the microwave and how the food rotates as it broils, you don't have to worry about rotating the food in the oven. The only drawback would have to be that it only has one light, but it is bright enough and spreads light evenly. You won't be disappointed with this product.

Is great, however there is a miscommunication between the panel and touch screen which makes the microwave randomly and frequently start beeping, as if something was left in the microwave and is done cooking. However, nothing is in there and we didn't use it recently. The message says to either press start or ok, with 7 seconds left. We have had it serviced once, and it seemed to be fixed and is now doing it again. Other than that, it is great!

Very happy with it so far. I would suggest two improvements. The door is too big. Wouldn't it be nice if a manufacturer made one with reversible doors? Also, owners manual is very poor. Very little info on how to operate. Trying to save a tree, I guess.

Samsung advertised the unit with 2 lights under the unit, but what we received was a unit with one light that is no stronger than a child's night light. Fit and finish is poor as well, with multiple dents visible in bright light. The keypad is difficult to use - not touch sensitive. We did ask Best Buy for a replacement but that unit was just as bad. By the way, the display unit at the store had 2 lights, but was built earlier in 2016, ours comes with only 1light as mentioned above, and the filter does not pop out like at the store either. Looking at their lesser models, this unit is now built like them, and not the better appointed model as they advertise. And the one light does not shine down, but is set to shine towards the back of the below stove.
Overall we're very disappointed with Samsung.

I have been learning this new microwave that "grills" and microwaves! Love the dark interior and it has so much more space. The design is clean with all functions at the lower end of the appliance rather than the right side. I like all of the functions listed in a straight row. It is so much easier to find the one needed. More information is listed inside on the right side. So many functions that I can say this is not an ordinary microwave! It has great power which is important to get food done quickly. I can see many year of use with this product. I wish it had come with a manual as there is so much to learn so it can be used to the fullest extent. I had to search the internet to find out what each function and combination of functions worked. It should be included. I have many functions to check out but so far I am very pleased with how well it works and how nice it looks.

This is a great "above and beyond" microwave with additional features such as the power grill. Easy to use cooking guide, although some of the other features needed some Internet research (including watching a You Tube to set the clock). Also like the option to turn off the turntable for larger pans. The Microwave Oven User Manual included is not detailed enough, so I have printed a more complete one online.

I might give it more stars when I've had time to use it for a few weeks. So far we like the design and the large size. Just installed it. Fits the mounting hardware from my other brand microwave. Minor adjustment had to be made to the holes in the cabinet. The included template appears to be accurate with a couple of minor flaws. Should be able to be installed by most people with limited handy type experience. Will add to this review when I've had time to play with it.

We ordered the microwave because the store did not have this model in stock. I had it shipped to my home. We recieved the unit extensively damaged and had to send it back. We recieved the second unit about a week later. The latest unit showed no sign of damage on the outside of the box, but when we opened it, this unit was dented also. We diden't want to wait another week.so we accepted it. POOR packaging from Samsung!! I think the last unit was dented at the factory and shipped out anyway. Good unit, POOR PACKAGING!!!

While I really like the look and performance of the cooking abilities, from the moment we took it out of the box it was plagued with a very strange problem, which the field engineer replaced 2 parts this morning. Symptom: at various times the microwave would beep and then turn on the fan (400 CFM is extremely loud @ 2am), turn on the LED light, flash pizza, 7 or other numbers on the screen without anyone around. The door & 'motherboard' were replaced.
So, if there are no other instances I will update.
