Purchased the dryer along with a LG washer. Thus far its working great. My previous gas dryer was also a LG and since purchasing it in 2008 it worked fine and never had any issues up to the day my new LG gas dryer was installed. The only reason I gave it up was to have it match my new LG washer

I have the 4500 LG washer and this dryer.Both are incredible. The washer can set the dryer with AI so there is less messing with selections. The clothes always come out dry and it is so fast. The turbo steam softens the clothes so dont need fabric softeners.

My old dryer came with the house when I purchased it and it took forever to dry anything. Sometimes I would have to wait for over two hours for items to dry. I couldnt increase the heat because it would over heat and leave my clothes with a burning smell. When I decided to purchase a new washer and dryer the sale clerk assured me that this dryer is the best. It has a lot of room inside the drum but still able to fit in small space of my laundry room. Also It cut down the drying time to less than an hour per load even with my bedding. I love the steam function because I work in health care and want to feel like my attire is bacteria free. I love this dryer.

Have been enjoying for a few weeks now. So happy with the unit.
This washer/dryer combo makes laundry an event not a chore So many features with the steam function being my favorite. This unit replaces my previous LG dryer which also had steam. The difference being this unit has a dedicated water line instead of having to fill a container. Nice. Love the steam feature to remove wrinkles freshen up curtains cloths sanitize pillows etc.
Both the washer dryer are on pedestals which make the units a nice height for loading/unloading and transferring from the washer to dryer.
Dryer is connected to the ThinQ app. Have yet to explore all the features but since the phone is always near me it is nice to have the load notifications for those moments I loose track of time. App unit shows status and though I hope to never need it a diagnosis feature.
I do a lot of laundry and I am very happy and appreciative of this purchase.

Took delivery a few weeks ago. Matching front load washer. Both units on pedestals so moving laundry from on to the other is a breeze. Tons of functions that i still need to check out but has steam. My last LG dryer also had steam but this one has a dedicated waterline unlike my first one so no container to think about. Steam works great for freshening up cloths and for wrinkle elimination.
Connected to the ThinQ app so we not only have notifications on the load but also have comfort in knowing that if anything is amiss we have the diagnostics available.
The pedestal adds storage capacity for dryer sheets etc. while making the unit a perfect height so less strain on the back.
So happy with this unit/pair.

I bought this with the LG washer that spins the clothes really well. Even with a load of towels they will dry in about 30-40 minutes. So much faster than any dryer I have every used. It has lots of features and is very easy to use.

This is actually a 5 Star review with a deduction only for IOT issues. Now had this washer for a few months. Cleans well delicates permanent-press normal cottons towels and blankets all well with little intervention with the controls. This is why I again purchased a LG in a large capacity size. I would purchase this model again. The IOT issues is that you need to manually turn-on the washer to then connect to the app to control the washer. the second issue is the Wi-Fi on the washer does not stay connected the dryer stays connected perfectly and requires unplugging waiting and then plugging the washer in to pick up the Wi-Fi signal yes it is 3 feet further from the router than the dryer but that does not account for the flaky signal. Only need the Wi-Fi connection so that I get a notice on my phone that the cycle is complete which helps speed to the wash/dry loads.

This pair is amazing has many settings and options our previous devices did not have. They are pretty quiet except during the spin cycle and do a great job cleaning our clothes bedding and pet-related laundry small rugs and comforters. They are very attractive in our recently remodeled laundry room

This is my first LG Dryer and I have been told LG has great home appliances. Boy were they right. I like using the AI feature where is dries your clothes based on your washer AI setting. My clothes came out dry smelling great and super clean. The app features real time countdown to see when its finished and alerts you once it does finish. I Love LG #LifesGood It sure is.

We bought our new washer and drier in march 2021 from LG.com to replace what the house came with. The drier door gasket collects lint and material on the lower portion that eventually causes leaking. We put in a service request and was told this was normal and to wipe it after every load. After several weeks and wiping the gasket before each load we still see evidence of water leaking out the bottom part of the door gasket. If this is normal then it is a very poor design for how much this drier cost but I feel this is a quality issue as I think more people would complain if this happened to them.

There are a few things which could be better.
The notification when the dryer cycle is completed should be louder. There is no way a person would hear that chime. Most laundry rooms are either closed off or the farthest away from a living area.
I have no need to have a light on within the drum. While I can turn the light off I have to keep on turning the light off because the unit shuts itself off at the end of each cycle.
The door itself doesnt seem to engage properly after shutting. There is a bunch of flex in the door so it appears the door is not fully engaged when shut.
When first powering on the unit the dryer cycle knob indicator will not move when rotating to knob. You have to rotate the knob first before the indicator light will move with the rotation.

Bad: The wash cycles often stops with a U5 error. In the manual it says to call technician. There is no other solution offered in the owners manual. We have had the technician attempt repair twice. The error keeps occurring. We restart the wash and eventually after two or three tries the cycle runs to completion. What a waste of time water and electricity. We have tried large loads medium loads small loads regular wash heavy duty delicate. It keeps happening. Time to call the technician again. Very frustrating
