I bought this dryer under the mistaken idea that the door would open door both sideways and down. Actually door does open sideways and hamper. Hamper is handy for items that missed transition from washer but useless for emptying load at end of cycle. Home Depot does not consider that a defect so it is not returnable.
My mistake for not checking closely
I think I will like the machine as soon as I read the manual fully. Come to find out more dry doesnt mean dry towels

This dryer is supposed to be energy saving and dry clothes. You can leave on energy saver and have clothes that are anywhere from damp to wet when the dryer says they are dry. LGs customer service solution is to turn off energy saving features.

This dryer rattles like a junk car. Lg sent a tech and he put foam tape everywhere and didnt fix it. Now after only using this dryer for 2 weeks I have to go through lowes extended warranty to get it replaced. I wont be buying another lg product.

First off the Costco employees messed up the laminate floor in our laundry room while removing the old washer and dryer and installing these.
The lid on the washer does not stay up. Cant tell you how many times its hit my wife and I in the head.
You can fit a lot in here but whats the point if only half your load fits in the dryer.
The dryer will not connect to Wi-Fi. I have tried everything. When contacting lg for assistance they asked a list of extraneous questions that wasnt worth the hassle. If the washer connects and the dryer doesnt they dont need to know what type of modem and router I have. The dryer is just a dud as far as Wi-Fi goes and thats disappointing because its one of the selling points.
Always do a timed dry because the sensor drying option never fully dries anything. Always have to turn it back on again anyway.
If you can I would just stick with a good old-fashioned washer and dryer.

This was a replacement for a 14 year old unit and I was intimidated by the fancy new features but find them to be intuitive and easy to learn. On top of that the dryer performs well. My favorite features are the door that opens vertically and horizontally and the ability to talk to the washer to sync what settings to use.

I purchased my dryer in March nice looking dryer that came with wifi connection cycles you can download from the LG app which are different from the ones on the dryer but the day after delivery my problem started : There were codes popping up on my dryer every time I used it most of the time the cycle would stop before it was completed. After checking what the code meant : lint filter or duct needed to be cleaned well after checking the filter there was no need to clean it as far as the duct there was no easy way for me to get to it duct runs from the wall and up to the roof since space is limited. Called the store where I bought it from and was told to call LG company after speaking to a representative who said the problem wasnt with the dryer and I should have my duct cleaned out so I bought a duct cleaner and cleaned it myself which didnt solve my issue so I asked my brother for help and he cleaned from the roof down to the bottom and blew air in from bottom to the top thought that solved it but days later codes came up again. Called LG again and was given numbers to call for duct cleaning service and only one company did that type of work but not in my area. Eventually found someone who came out and vacuum cleaned from bottom to top and then top to bottom and Im still having issues called LG again didnt get any response so I emailed them for a service check because it could be
the sensor in the dryer I received a reply saying it could be expensive if the issue was on my end and not theirs and I should try everything that Ive already done so Im stuck with a dryer that doesnt complete a cycle unless Im using the bedding cycle even though all my laundry is not bedding. I am not a satisfied customer as far as the dryer goes

Once I learned how to operate this dryerI am very satisfied with it. I bought it after doing research online never went to a store to see any in person. I could not understand the two way door and it is woefully underexplained. A diagram in the instructions would have made it easy. I actually thought it was defective and almost returned it. No one I talked to on the phone when I was trying to sort things out picked up on I wasnt understanding the function of that dual function door that the handle/latch only works on one function. The top open is narrow and I couldnt get it to open from the side I was using the latch handle which isnt necessary. You just grab the upper right hand corner and pull. It caused me distress the first two days..

I bought this washer and dryer set about a month ago. I love the fact the washer actually fills up with water. Once you link it to your wi-fi it has a lot of features. My previous washer would wash for over an hour on the same setting. What I love the most is you will be alerted on your mobile device when the washer and dryer has stopped. Especially if you have to go downstairs that will save you time and you still have 15 minutes left the washer or dryer. You can look on your mobile device and it will tell you how much time is left.

Bought this in december. The flow sensor has been shutting it down since. Rearranged the dryer vent hose twice. Cleaned out the vent on the roof. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Not sure whats next. Had 2 prior dryers no problem besides age.

The dryer works well on the dryness sensing settings. The controls took a little time to master but just playing around made it clear how to adjust the settings or do a timed dry. Opening the door from the top helps because the washer door is in the way. For unloading the dryer we use the side opening. The only issue so far is that I cannot get the wifi to connect to our network.
