I bought this a month ago and I am extremely disappointed. If you put food on the top shelf, the food freezes. I had a technician come and he said it is common with this model and there is nothing that can be done. His advice was just to leave the middle of the top shelf empty. So now I have a $2200 refrigerator in which if I use the top shelf my food will freeze. Doesn't seem right, does it?

Condensation on the top of the freezer door, on the left side only a day after the fridge was installed. The repair service was told to seal around it, other than that, nothing they could do but replace it. I was told to contact kitchenaid. They then told me that this was environmental, even if the last fridge we had was the same one with none of these issues and the right side did not have this issue. Common sense would say that it would happen on both sides. Also, the freezer door pulls out about 5 inches crooked if you happen to pull it out slightly to the left of the middle or the handle. It snaps back in place when it closes, but again, the right side does not do this. I was told that this is normal. I could handle these things after a couple years...but a new fridge? Also, there is only a 15 day return policy and the second repair service that kitchenaid wanted to send out could not get here until after that 15 day time period. I then called Best Buy, where I purchased the fridge, to see if they could do anything for me and there was no answer at any extension. I run my own business and realize that they cannot just replace items on a whim, as I would guess there is not much profit in these items. However, this is not acceptable.

I bought this unit because I really like the smooth front, the water dispenser and ice machine are located inside the unit. The wine rack is a nice feature but it makes the shelf below it very short so very few things fit on it. I actually took the wine rack out to better use the space. The shelves have quite a gap at the back and some items can fall down. The description led me to believe that this unit has a produce freshness feature but I don't believe that it does. The manual that comes with the fridge is no useful and I find the online information to not be very thorough either.

I love my new fridge. It is beautiful on the outside. I am still getting used to it. We have moved several times and each time it takes a while to adjust shelves to get the maximum amount of usable convenient space. The bottom drawer freezer is ideal in space and convenience.

This refrigerator is beautiful and I like the amount of space. However, I dinged one star off because of the noticeable buzzing sound of the compressor, and another star off because the inside water valve keeps dripping water after I fill a glass. It's brand new and I had a service person come out, who said both issues were normal.

Love this refrigerator. The black stainless steel is beautiful and doesn't show fingerprints like our previous stainless steel fridge. I was worried that the loss of cubic ft we experienced going to a counter depth unit would feel small, but I have been surprised at how roomy it is. The in freezer ice maker is my favorite creature. We never run out of ice. It's awesome.

We purchased the KitchenAid 20 cu ft counter depth french door refrigerator about a month ago to replace a very large top of the line refrigerator that only lasted 6 years. The best part is the space I save in my kitchen with the KitchenAid. We don't miss the storage capacity of our old refrigerator and have plenty of space for the two of us with the kitchenAid. The freezer compartment is a little small. The delivery and set up went with out a hitch and the delivery people were friendly and respectful. So far the only issues we have is that the display model in the store all door compartments had liners and ours came with only two. KitchenAid has since sent us the missing gripper liners. The other thing is the crisper drawers don't slide out as easily as I would like. Over all so far so good we love the look of the refrigerator and it does everything we expected.

Bought this fridge a year ago. Love the top portion of fridge. It is easy to find things and ample storage. Now for the bad news. It is very noisy. Dealer said it would quiet down but still waiting over a year. You can hear it running all over the house. Do not like the freezer bins they are too small and do not accommodate anything you buy in bulk. Have to empty things to find what I'm looking for, very frustrating. Had a side by side fridge for years before this purchase sorry I bought this one, going back to side by side. We are retirees and the grandkids visit almost daily and the freezer just doesn't meet our needs. If we could keep the top portion and get a larger freezer that would work.

I have only had this refrigerator for a little over a month. Generally it seems to be a quality product. The only minuses I have experienced so far is that the refrigerator part seems to run very cold - to the point in which it was freezing the lettuce, The manufacture presets the refrigerator portion to 38 degrees. I have raised the temperature a couple of degrees and it seems to be better. Also, when the compressor is running, the noise level is quite noticeable. Other than these two issues, I am satisfied with the refrigerator.

I purchased this refrigerator in November. The drawers did not glide well from the beginning. Even more of a problem: the shelves have a gap at the back that allows smaller things to fall through. This problem could be solved be simply putting! a lip on the back of the shelf. The water dispenser is clumsy, requiring two hands to use and in an awkward place. It is black stainless and I like the appearance very much but am disappointed in its functionality.

Don't buy this refrigerator. You can't even put your groceries away without the temp rising to 45 degrees. If you turn the temp down it will freeze up resulting in a call to the repairman to tear apart the fridge and thaw it out. The ice maker is poorly designed and does not keep the ice cold enough. All your ice becomes one large piece! This fridge may be called energy efficient but I call it a waste of money.

We have had the fridge a month or so.
I find the drawers to feel very flimsy and have warned the family to handle them very gently. I just can see them holding up very long.
The freezer is difficult I almost feel like one big drawer would be better than the levels in the freezer.
I would not recommend to a family that does big shopping and freezes many things.
But I do love the finish of the outside and the counter depth is awesome. I love not having to move items to see to the back of a deep fridge.

We bought this a few months ago and love it! The look and the feel is great and the shelf layout in the fridge is way better than I thought it would be. We no longer lose stuff way in the back! The freezer takes some getting used to but once you figure out where to store different size items it's even nicer than the top freezers.

Fridge is the perfect size and great color. The inside shelves and door condiment holders are the perfect depth for larger bottles. We have 3 boys so the alarm feature telling you the door is open has been nice. The only compliant I have is the water comes out very slow.

We are really happy with our Kitchenaid counter-depth refrigerator. It is the exact right temp for the fridge and freezer (no freezer burn). The ice-maker works great. For being a little smaller than a standard-depth fridge, it is designed efficiently to hold everything we need. (Love the wine rack!) Also, love the black stainless steel. It really does stay totally clean and doesn't show fingerprints or watermarks.

We bought this as part of a four appliance update.
My complaint with this French door unit is the miserable inconvenience of the so called chilled water dispenser. Two hands to operate? Really?
We've many other types of refrigerators and this particular in ergonomic feature truly bugs me the ice water drinker. Otherwise good mid market fridge.

Happy in general with the fridge. Like the clean modern look. Water dispenser inside fridge is fine. Had trouble when connecting the water filter, pressure builds up and water can spray out at you. I think we needed to remove more water from the dispenser before pulling out the plug next time!

I just had this delivered less than a week ago but so far so good! The French door design is very convenient nice and wide refrigerator space. The counter depth design looks so nice in my kitchen like the cabinets were built around the refrigerator. The only complaint I have is one other people complained about. The foam insulation is visible at the bottom of the refrigerator door on the right side. It isn't as noticeable if we're at the top but I must say if spending $2,500 for a refrigerator the quality control should be better!

I've had this fridge for a few months. I'm very happy with it. It is smaller than my old fridge, but because it is so well thought out it holds more.

I like Kitchen Aid and am satisfied with this refrigerator. I just wish the freezer was not a wire basket and I wish the vegie/fruit drawers were a bit more substantial. They don't close easily as if the runners are weak.

Have enjoyed this refrigerator and it is consistent in cooling and reliable. Only issue is with weight placed on the bottom, full-width shelf. The shelf appears to lack middle support, which impacts the hand and pull of the drawers below.

I bought this and three other matching Kitchen Aid appliances for my condo makeover. I love everything about it, especially the black stainless print proof finish. The handles are very easy to grab and look like jewelry.
The counter depth surprisingly has all of the horns and whistles a bigger model might provide and, it slid perfectly into the tight space and does not stick out like a sore thumb.
