I have had this dryer for less than a year, and it already stopped working. I honestly don't think this dryer ever worked right to begin with. My clothes consistently came out wrinkled, and the sensors on all the dryer settings besides "timed dry" seemed to be off, as it will state my clothes are dry and they never were. The dewrinkle/steam settings were pointless, each time I tried them my clothes would come out wet and certainly not dewrinkled at the end of the cycle (in fact they would be more wrinkled). When the dryer broke, it would not work at all and I had an error code that said E20. It took a few weeks for GE to fix, but they were able to fix it by replacing the thermistor and computer boards. It is working OK now, but I definitely expected more from this dryer with all the settings, and I certainly did not expect it to break in less than a year. I was so excited when I bought this and I wanted to love it, but it's just not worked out that way.

This dryer is the best by far! Let me share the ways! 1. I love that my bedding fits in the dryer and comes out...DRY! 2. I also love that this dryer communicates to the washer, so you don't even need to worry about setting the dryer. Just set it to Washer Link and it knows what was just washed and how to dry it! 3. I have never had my laundry done so fast! Really, when I knew this set was due to be delivered, I saved up my laundry to put it to the test. I did 5 loads in the day, one of which was bedding, and still had plenty of time for dinner and karate class. If you are on the fence, go for it! You will not be dissapointed at all. This set is a laundry game changer! :)

We actually had a harder time than expected finding the gas version of the dryer, but I'm glad we waited! This thing can dry your clothes in 15 minutes if you want it to. I personally prefer drying on a lower heat setting, but for bulkier items like towels and sheets, this dryer is a BEAST! I especially like how it talks to its partner-in-crime (the matching washer) to set the particular drying settings for your freshly washed load. The lint trap is pretty huge, so if you forget to clean it out once, you shouldn't suffer too much (but do be sure to clean it out to prevent a fire.) Most of all, that sparkly blue finish fits out decor of our new home and it just generally looks fantastic all around.
I changed the door opening direction on this dryer to make the transfer of laundry easier, and I have to say, it wasn't that hard! The instructions were pretty thorough and easy to follow. It was difficult unbolting and rebolting the hinge, as it was too narrow for the power driver, so I had to grab a crescent wrench and a ratchet. But you'll only encounter that issue if you have to switch the door.
While the app does have a counter for the dryer sheets, it would be really cool if there were a dryer sheet dispenser to match the washer's Auto Dispense detergent function.

The dryer didn't even work. I kept getting the. " check filter" light starting from the first load I did. I did all the troubleshooting steps, the installers came back out and checked everything. Plus the app & Wi-Fi only notify when your load is done, you can't actually control the settings or start it.

I got GFD85GSPN0RS gas dryer in December 2021 and right in beginning of March 2022 it broke. It will not dry clothes completely and the 45 minute cycle will suddenly become a 10 minute cycle. After contacting customer service, the repair service was scheduled 4 times and parts ordered and replaced without any success. This is the worst dryer I have ever seen and I see that the gas bill has gone up 3 times.

Be prepared to invest in door strikes. That is the part that holds the door in when you run a load. They are plastic and flimsy. The floor model's door strike was broken and my dryer came broken. I love the features, especially WiFi and the app. I couldn't get Alexa to work no matter what I tried, but everything else works great.

I love my new GE Gas Dryer - the drying speed is AWESOME. The only shortcoming I point out is that I have needed to select the "More Dry" setting frequently, as clothes come out slightly damp when on lower dryness settings. For the price, I am surprised that these options aren't more customizable in the App - for example, a % humidity on the exhaust moisture sensor as a configuration.

The Washer performs exceptionally, I really enjoy the sanitize cycle which I use for our pets blankets. Overall this product is worth every cent.
